Description
Crisp, Golden Monastic Perfection
While the Dubbel and Quadrupel offer deep, dark complexity, La Trappe Blond is the Koningshoeven Abbey’s answer to those seeking a lighter, more refreshing, but equally authentic Trappist experience. It is a bright, sparkling golden ale that brilliantly balances sweetness with a crisp finish.
The beer pours a clear, radiant gold with a frothy white head. The aroma is fresh and inviting, characterized by sweet malt, a touch of honey, and soft, fruity ester notes of pear and apple. On the palate, it is light-to-medium-bodied and very smooth. The flavor profile leads with a gentle, bready sweetness that quickly gives way to a mild, pleasant hop bitterness and a clean, refreshing snap on the finish. At 6.5% ABV, it is surprisingly easy-drinking and serves as an excellent pairing for soft cheeses, grilled poultry, or a classic Caesar salad.
