Description
From the village of Pouilly-sur-Loire, the Fumé in the name is from the flinty soil, which gives the wine a gun-smoke aroma. The Blondelet family vinify each terroir separately, and their Villa Paulus is from Kimmeridgian marl (white clay and fossilized shells) giving good minerality. The richness comes from time on lees.
