Description
Awatere Valley Elegance
While Marlborough is famous for its Sauvignon Blanc, the cooler microclimate of the Awatere Valley within the region is producing some of New Zealand’s most exciting and elegant Pinot Noirs. The Eradus family estate is a master of this style, consistently delivering award-winning wines that rival the best of Central Otago.
The Eradus Pinot Noir pours a brilliant, translucent ruby. The nose is incredibly fragrant and complex, leaping from the glass with aromas of ripe dark cherries, wild strawberries, and a distinct, savory earthiness often described as forest floor or mushroom. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and exceptionally silky. The vibrant red fruit flavors are perfectly integrated with fine, supple tannins and a touch of toasty French oak, leading to a long, sophisticated, and slightly spicy finish. It is the ultimate pairing for roast lamb, duck breast, or wild mushroom risotto.
