Description
Alaryk Imperial Stout is a 7.5% certified organic imperial stout from Brasserie Alaryk in Béziers, in the south of France. A powerful dark beer in the British tradition, launched in 2021 and already a multi-medal winner.
Tasting notes
Deep russet to black with an open tan head. Aromas of caramelised fruit lead to a palate that opens with sweetness and moves into dry powdered chocolate, with dark roasted barley adding coffee and black chocolate. Silver medal at the World Beer Awards 2022 and 2024.
About Brasserie Alaryk
Brasserie Alaryk was founded in 2016 in Béziers, in the Hérault department of the Languedoc, by Sébastien Alary. Every Alaryk beer is certified organic and brewed from just water, malt, hops and yeast, with no additives or preservatives. The beers carry the Origine France Garantie label and have collected dozens of national and international medals.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10-12°C, not ice cold, so the roast and chocolate come through. It pairs well with dark chocolate desserts, vanilla ice cream, blue cheese and braised beef.
