Viña Casablanca is renowned for pioneering cool-climate winemaking in Chile. While the Casablanca Valley is most famous for its crisp whites, it also produces incredibly elegant, aromatic reds. The ‘Cefiro’ Cool Reserve Merlot is a fantastic example, offering a fresher, more vibrant style of Merlot compared to the hotter, jammy regions of the Central Valley.In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red color. The nose is inviting and fruit-forward, layered with ripe red plums, dark cherries, and blackberries, seamlessly integrated with sweet spices, vanilla, and a touch of dark chocolate from brief oak maturation. The palate is medium-bodied, remarkably smooth, and supple, with velvety tannins that glide across the tongue. The finish is soft and lingering.
