Description

G.D. Vajra Barolo Bricco delle Viole

G.D. Vajra Barolo Bricco delle Viole is a Barolo DOCG made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes from the historic Bricco delle Viole vineyard in the commune of Barolo, Piedmont.

Bricco delle Viole is one of the highest historic vineyards in the Barolo area, rising between approximately 400 and 480 metres above sea level. Its south-facing exposure provides excellent sunlight, while the altitude and strong day-night temperature variations contribute to slow ripening and the development of delicate aromatic compounds.

The name Bricco delle Viole, meaning “Hill of Violets”, refers to the violets that traditionally bloom early on the site. The vineyard is known for producing Barolo with bright aromatics, finely chiselled tannins and subtle mineral character.

Made from 100% Nebbiolo, G.D. Vajra Bricco delle Viole combines the structure and ageing potential associated with Barolo DOCG with the aromatic finesse of this particular vineyard. Depending on the vintage, the wine can show floral and mineral nuances alongside red fruit and spice.
