Tasting notes
Pale straw with a green hue. The nose is fresh and expressive, with citrus, lime zest, green apple, cut grass and a touch of exotic fruit. On the palate it is light, dry and lively, with pure, refreshing fruit and a clean finish. At 11.5% alcohol, it is easy to drink at any time of day.
The wine
Colombard is Gascony’s signature white grape, and Sauvignon Blanc adds extra aroma and bite. It is a classic Gascon blend: bright, fruity and made to be enjoyed young. It comes from Domaine Guillaman, a family estate in Gondrin, in the Gers, run by the Ferret family for six generations.
Food pairing
Serve well chilled as an aperitif, or with seafood, shrimp, ceviche, fresh goat’s cheese, salads and light summer dishes.
