Description
La Carbonnode is a fantastic result from the carbonic maceration of Bret Brothers Chardonnay from La Bonnode — a sheltered east-facing parcel at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson. (A fossilised coral reef overlooking famous terroirs such as Saint Veran and Pouilly-Fuissé). This is truly a unique Cuvée, made from whole cluster fermentation. Grapes are handharvested with a nine-day maceration in a closed tank, then pressed, with fermentation finishing in old oak. A slight orange tint, a zesty and expressive nose. An enticing outside the box kind of wine.
