Description
Luc and Jean Yves Lapeyre conduct the wine like an orchestra, bringing together all the varying terroirs and grapes. The Syrah, picked earlier preserves freshness, the ancient Carignan, due to global warming, ripens better than ever and balances the Mourvèdre. Fermentation happens naturally, and the result is a symphony. Élevage is for one year in big barrels, to preserve, not overpower the fruit, while for the Mourvèdre, a small part of the blend spends one year in barriques to soften the tannins.
